I hope all of you had some time to enjoy the beautiful weekend we had!
Congratulations on welcoming back high in-person priority students last Thursday/Friday. It felt great seeing teachers and students back in school buildings!
I'm linking in the Lee Academy Pilot School blog: The Hive by, Jodi. The news in it is applicable in preparation for upcoming assessments and other valuable news - check in out! Also, click on the Visit Calendar/Assessment tab of this blog - scroll down to the assessment calendar, which is populated with assessment windows. Additionally, MAP Administration Office Hours is being offered twice/week. Jodi highly recommends all principals attend with test coordinators - it's a big lift.
Another resource I'm sharing is Russell's assessment calendar. It is a copy of the BPS calendar, but they have shortened each window with specific days when grade levels are to administer the assessment in time for data analysis and action planning during CPT. While I was at the Russell, we visited classrooms via zoom since most students are still remote. Derrick joined the class while using Air Tame to project the class to observe.
If you haven't already, please share you school calendars with CPTs, ILTs, PD, Equity Roundtables, etc... I would also like to have your school schedule that includes Zoom links. The regions would like to eventually conduct some shared observations, so it would be great to have the links accessible. We will not visit classrooms without informing you first.
Below, enjoy photos from Tynan, Everett, and Orchard Gardens!
